More about Midori's personality:
Once bonded, Midori is a bit of a velcro Shiba- she wants to be right next to you and will sit and gaze adoringly at you. She's OBSESSED with being petted and will stand quietly for pets indefinitely. She thinks she's the tug-of-war world champion and is actually quite good at it. She'll play fetch until she decides to keep the toy. She likes to collect her toys and put them in her toy box or one of her beds which she has designated for this purpose. She's personally challenged by any squeaker hiding in a toy, and will work diligently until she has performed the necessary surgery to remove it. She doesn't chew on furniture, bedding, or cords, doesn't have accidents in the house, and has excellent house manners. She doesn't have separation anxiety and is completely trustworthy alone with free access to the house. She enjoys sniff walks but she's not a super active dog and she doesn't try to spend hours in the backyard playing. She's a bit of a comfy, lazy girl and is happiest being in the same room as her human, but is also content to chill in my bedroom (which she considers her space). She doesn't particularly like children but doesn't have much of a problem with teens. She's a bit suspicious of strangers but quickly warms up if there are "pets" involved. She loves treats and of course wants to share in whatever the humans are eating. She's fine with cats. She's ok with a male dog as a roommate, as long as he's not very alpha or super reactive- she believes that ALL the toys belong in the toy box when she says so, and will collect them to put them away. Midori is very confident with other dogs and will bulldoze over their objections, and doesn't get distracted with a replacement toy when she's trying to relocate toys to the toybox. Sometimes her dog companions become annoyed by her "stealing" their toys, and disagreements happen (where she will proceed to act completely shocked that they're being rude to her). She gets along with very docile female dogs who do not challenge her authority. She does fine on-leash around other dogs so long as they don't invade her personal space. She does need to be on amount-limited feeding, or she gains too much weight (she's definitely a foodie).
Tips for her puppies:
Her puppies who are socialized with children are fine with them.
As her puppies reach a year or two old, if they begin to gain weight you'll want to put them on an amount-limited feeding schedule (half of the daily allowance in the morning and half at night).
